Martin earned his BSc in Genetics and Microbiology from the University of Sheffield before completing a DPhil (PhD) in Genomics at the University of Oxford, where he developed sequencing-based approaches to study transcriptional regulation.
For the past six years, he has worked in the biotechnology industry in the United States, specializing in next-generation sequencing (NGS) assay development, computational biology for drug development, and scientific consulting. His work has focused on designing and validating molecular assays and developing bioinformatic pipelines to extract insights from complex genomic datasets.
Martin is passionate about bridging experimental and computational approaches to accelerate innovation in precision medicine and infectious disease therapeutics.
